About the company

An established public accounting firm in the Maitland and Orlando area with roughly 30 years in practice. It offers the close-knit environment of a smaller CPA firm, where team members take on meaningful responsibility without getting lost in a large organization.

The ideal candidate has one to two years of audit experience, though recent accounting graduates and candidates with up to four years of experience will be considered.

  • Execute audit procedures and perform substantive testing

  • Test and document internal controls

  • Analyze account balances, financial statements, and supporting documentation

  • Prepare clear, accurate, and organized audit workpapers

  • Help draft audit findings, recommendations, and client deliverables

  • Communicate directly with clients to obtain documentation and resolve accounting questions

  • Manage multiple assignments and deadlines during busy periods, and assist with tax work as needed

Ideal profile
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

  • Audit experience strongly preferred; public accounting experience is a plus

  • Roughly zero to four years of professional experience, with one to two years of audit experience ideal; recent graduates with a strong interest in audit are encouraged to apply

  • Understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and audit concepts

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Professional communication with clients and colleagues

  • Comfortable in an on-site, collaborative environment

Nice to have: experience auditing nonprofit organizations, a CPA license or progress toward the exam, exposure to tax preparation, and experience with CCH or similar public accounting software.

Compensation & benefits

Base salary of $60,000 to $80,000 or more depending on experience and credentials, four weeks of PTO from day one, a SIMPLE IRA with a 3% employer match, flexible hours, 3 p.m. Fridays during the summer, potential assistance with CPA exam expenses, and direct access to experienced partners.

How to apply

Three ways to start the conversation.

Send your résumé, book a call, or apply straight from the LinkedIn posting. Whichever route you pick, one person handles your application from first reply to offer.
