NextPlay Jobs, LLC (“NextPlay Jobs,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is an executive search and recruiting firm based in Chicago, Illinois. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit nextplayjobs.com (the “Site”), contact us, work with us as a client, are considered by us as a candidate, or receive text messages from us. It also explains how we use and share that information and the choices and rights you have.

Our Cookie Policy describes the cookies the Site uses. Our text-messaging (SMS) terms are in section 11.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Contact form. When you use the form on our Contact page, we collect your name, email address, the function and level of the role you want to discuss, and anything you write in your message.

  • Email, phone calls, and meetings. When you email, call, or meet with us, we collect what you choose to share, such as your contact details, your company, your hiring needs, and scheduling details.

  • Candidate information. If you are a candidate, we collect the information you or your references give us, such as your résumé, work history, education, skills, compensation expectations, work authorization, location preferences, references, and notes from our conversations and interviews.

  • Text messages. If you opt in to text messages, we collect your name, mobile number, email address, and a record of your opt-in.

Information from other sources

  • Professional networks and public sources. We identify potential candidates using professional information that is publicly available, such as LinkedIn profiles, company websites, and professional publications.

  • LinkedIn job postings. When you apply for one of our roles through LinkedIn, LinkedIn shares your application with us under LinkedIn’s own terms and privacy policy.

  • Referrals and clients. People may refer you to us. Clients tell us about the roles they are hiring for and give us feedback on candidates they interview.

Information collected automatically

  • Analytics, if you allow it. Google Analytics collects information such as the pages you view, how you arrived at the Site, your browser and device type, and your approximate location (worked out from your IP address). It is optional, and you can switch it off at any time. See the Cookie Policy.

  • Aggregate visit statistics. Our website platform, Framer, counts visits in aggregate (for example, page views and referring websites) without cookies and without identifying you.

  • Technical logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records technical information, such as IP address, browser type, and the time of each request, to deliver and secure the Site.

2. How we use personal information

We use personal information to:

  • respond to your inquiries and provide the services you ask for;

  • run searches: identify, contact, evaluate, and present candidates for the roles our clients are hiring for, and coordinate interviews, feedback, and offers;

  • communicate with you by email, by phone, and, if you have opted in, by text message;

  • operate, secure, and improve the Site, including understanding which pages are useful;

  • keep records of our business relationships and meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations; and

  • protect our rights and the rights of others, and prevent fraud or misuse.

We do not use candidate information for purposes unrelated to recruiting without your permission.

3. How we share personal information

  • With clients and prospective employers. If you are a candidate, we share your information with a client only in connection with a specific opportunity, and only after we have discussed that opportunity with you.

  • With service providers. We share information with companies that provide services to us, under agreements that limit how they may use it. These include website hosting and contact-form processing (Framer), website analytics (Google), email and business productivity (Microsoft), text messaging, and our recruiting and applicant-tracking systems.

  • For legal reasons. We may disclose information when the law or legal process requires it, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of NextPlay Jobs, our clients, candidates, or others.

  • Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

  • With your consent. We may share information for other purposes with your permission.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for targeted (cross-context behavioral) advertising.

Text-messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes. See section 11.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

Google Analytics cookies help us understand how the Site is used; they are optional. You can change your choice at any time with the “Your Privacy Choices” link at the bottom of every page.

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a request to opt out: optional cookies stay off and we do not ask you again. The Cookie Policy lists each cookie and how long it lasts.
