Salary

$130,000 target base + profit sharing
About the company

An established engineering and technology company in the Wichita area that continues to invest, build, and innovate, supporting complex industrial and process-plant projects.

The opportunity

This is a hands-on, individual contributor role with meaningful ownership of the electrical scope from design through construction. You will not design one small piece and hand it off; you will have visibility and ownership across the power scope, and stay involved through construction and startup.

Most of your time is spent designing and engineering from the Wichita-area office, with roughly 30 percent travel to get into operating plants, troubleshoot real-world challenges, and see the systems you designed in action.

Good Electrical PE opportunities do not always come with this much room to actually engineer. This one offers real project ownership without moving into management, strong benefits, relocation assistance, and a hiring team ready to move when it finds its person.

Key responsibilities
  • Own primary and low-voltage power distribution design for complex industrial projects

  • Take electrical systems from concept through equipment specifications, layouts, and final design

  • Perform load-flow, fault, and arc-flash studies

  • Design grounding and lighting systems for operating facilities

  • Work directly with utilities to solve service and power requirements

  • Partner with vendors and procurement to select the right electrical equipment

  • Stay involved through construction and startup

  • Get into operating plants to troubleshoot and support projects firsthand

Ideal profile
  • Electrical PE license, which this role requires

  • BS in Electrical Engineering and four to five or more years of hands-on power design experience

  • Power distribution is your specialty: you understand how the whole system works, not just one piece

  • Comfortable working in AutoCAD when the work calls for it

  • Likes seeing what happens after the design leaves the desk, and would rather walk an industrial site than sit in the same chair every day

  • Experience from industrial, manufacturing, agricultural processing, chemical, food and beverage, energy, or another process-heavy environment is a bonus

Compensation & benefits

Target base around $130,000 plus profit sharing, strong benefits, and relocation assistance for the right person. Full detail on the package is shared at intake before you speak to the client.

How to apply

Three ways to start the conversation.

Send your résumé, book a call, or apply straight from the LinkedIn posting. Whichever route you pick, one person handles your application from first reply to offer.
