Salary
$40–$45/hr
About the company
An established organization in the western suburbs of Chicago that is expanding its service capabilities and launching a new national business initiative.
The opportunity
This person will research, organize, and build the licensing and regulatory infrastructure needed to support the expansion. There is no existing playbook: you will determine requirements across multiple states, work directly with government and regulatory agencies, document findings, and create a sustainable process for ongoing compliance.
It suits someone who enjoys research, compliance, and project coordination, and who is comfortable figuring out the next step when there is not an established process. As the program develops, the position may grow into broader project and program coordination. The role is on-site and contract-to-hire.
Key responsibilities
Research licensing, certification, registration, permitting, and regulatory requirements across multiple states
Identify differences in requirements between jurisdictions
Communicate directly with state agencies and regulatory bodies to clarify requirements and navigate applications
Research company-level and individual technician licensing and certification requirements
Coordinate applications, registrations, licenses, certifications, and supporting documentation
Track expirations, renewals, recertifications, and other ongoing obligations
Build and maintain centralized Excel-based trackers and repeatable workflows that scale as the program grows
Monitor regulatory changes and identify potential compliance gaps
Partner with Operations, Sales, field teams, and leadership, and drive outstanding items to completion
Ideal profile
Experience with licensing, permitting, certifications, credentialing, registrations, regulatory compliance, or a similar function
Experience researching requirements across multiple states or jurisdictions strongly preferred
Comfortable independently contacting government agencies and regulatory bodies
Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills
Experience managing renewals, expirations, or other recurring compliance requirements
Highly organized, with exceptional attention to detail across large amounts of information and multiple deadlines
Strong research, problem-solving, and written and verbal communication skills
Experience building trackers, workflows, or processes from scratch is highly preferred
Transferable backgrounds include corporate or business licensing, construction licensing and permitting, healthcare credentialing, transportation or fleet compliance, insurance or professional licensing, regulatory compliance, field service compliance, and franchise or multi-location compliance.
Compensation & benefits
$40 to $45 per hour on a contract-to-hire basis. Full detail is shared at intake before you speak to the client.
How to apply
Three ways to start the conversation.
Send your résumé, book a call, or apply straight from the LinkedIn posting. Whichever route you pick, one person handles your application from first reply to offer.
