Jobs
Security Sales Engineer
An established building systems integrator is hiring a Security Sales Engineer to grow its commercial security business across complex facilities in Denver.
Industry
Security and Investigations
Salary
$110,000–$195,000
About the company
An established building systems integration company with decades of experience and a strong Denver operation, serving laboratories, data centers, manufacturing, higher education, and stadiums. It has the resources of a larger organization with the autonomy and feel of an entrepreneurial business.
The opportunity
The security practice is expanding, and the customers, projects, and infrastructure are already in place. What the team needs is someone who knows how to win the business.
You will sell solutions rather than products, across access control, door entry, and IP-based video systems for complex commercial environments, owning opportunities from the first conversation through close.
This is technical sales. You do not have to be an engineer or programmer, but you need to be technically credible: able to understand the problem, ask the right questions, develop the right solution, and explain why it makes sense. The role is onsite in Denver, working alongside experienced project managers, technicians, and programmers.
Key responsibilities
Develop new commercial security opportunities and expand existing customer relationships
Understand customer security requirements and develop the right solution
Sell access control, door access, and IP-based video and VMS solutions
Review construction documents, plans, and specifications
Develop technical proposals and project estimates
Present solutions to customers and key stakeholders
Own opportunities from initial conversation through close
Stay connected with customers through project execution and change orders
Identify additional opportunities within existing relationships
Ideal profile
Experience with commercial access control, video surveillance, VMS, electronic security, or integrated security systems
Experience with IP-based security systems and complex commercial environments is a strong plus
A background such as security sales engineer, electronic or access control sales, VMS or video surveillance sales, security solutions consulting, systems integration, or low-voltage systems sales
Experience selling into complex commercial or enterprise environments rather than residential security
Comfortable sitting across from a customer and doing more than talking about features
Communicates well, moves quickly, and takes ownership without being micromanaged
Compensation & benefits
Compensation is built around the experience and production of the person hired: a competitive base salary plus 10% commission on gross margin, with first-year commission protection available and total earnings of $200,000 or more for strong producers. Benefits include a 401(k) with a 6% match, 100% company-paid individual health coverage, 50% company-paid family coverage, a $400 per month vehicle allowance, and professional development.
How to apply
Three ways to start the conversation.
Send your résumé, book a call, or apply straight from the LinkedIn posting. Whichever route you pick, one person handles your application from first reply to offer.
