Senior Tax Manager – High-Net-Worth Tax
A growing fee-only wealth management firm is hiring a remote Senior Tax Manager to advise high-net-worth individuals and families and help build its in-house tax practice.
Industry
Financial Services
Salary
$180,000 base + bonus
About the company
A growing, fee-only wealth management firm that is building out its in-house tax practice. Rather than treating tax as a once-a-year transaction, the team integrates tax planning into the broader financial picture of its clients.
The opportunity
This is an opportunity to step beyond traditional public accounting while keeping the sophisticated tax work you have spent your career mastering. You will work directly with high-net-worth individuals and families on complex individual, fiduciary, gift, and estate-related tax matters, and become a senior voice within a growing tax function.
It is not a move away from tax. It is a chance to practice it differently: alongside wealth management professionals supporting the same clients, with relationships that extend beyond a filing deadline, and with real input into the processes and standards the practice adopts as it grows.
The focus is high-net-worth individual taxation and advisory, not corporate tax. The role is fully remote within the U.S.
Key responsibilities
Advise high-net-worth individuals and families on complex tax matters
Lead tax planning, projections, and year-round strategy
Review complex individual, fiduciary, and gift tax returns
Work alongside wealth management professionals supporting the same clients
Mentor and develop other tax professionals
Help shape processes and standards as the internal tax function grows
Build deeper, longer-term client relationships beyond the compliance cycle
Ideal profile
Significant public accounting tax experience
Deep experience with high-net-worth individual taxation
Strong knowledge of individual, fiduciary, and gift taxation
Experience with complex tax planning and projections
Demonstrated review experience
Confidence working directly with sophisticated clients
Experience mentoring and developing tax professionals
CPA or EA
Compensation & benefits
Base salary of $180,000 plus a bonus and a long-term incentive opportunity. The role is fully remote in the U.S. Full detail on the package is shared at intake before you speak to the client.
How to apply
Three ways to start the conversation.
Send your résumé, book a call, or apply straight from the LinkedIn posting. Whichever route you pick, one person handles your application from first reply to offer.
